A Ferrari in Paris

Google maps synched to French filmmaker Claude Lelouch's 1978 film Rendezvous - a high speed drive in a Ferrari through Paris in real traffic because Lelouch couldn't get a permit to close roads. Watch the progress on the street map and go oh my god, can he make that corner.

One of the best things about leather chairs in staff rooms is that you can make farting sounds when you slouch in meetings.

So today I was thinking about creepy songs. And possibly one of the creepiest songs ever has to be "You've Never Been This Far Before" by Conway Twitty. At the very least, its too much information about the sex life of this toad with a whiteman afro deflowering an underage groupie. At the worse, it sounds like a rapist about to molest some poor woman especially when he starts into the "bow bow bow's" after lines like "And I can feel your body tremble as you wonder what this moment holds in store". Yeah, ick value through the roof. Maybe he was reminiscing to his role in Sex Kittens Go to College.

Been a while since I've had a truely crazy dream but managed to hit the jackpot last night. A lot of relatively normal stuff going on in it - going to some dinner function then trying to meet someone for a movie - but the ending was where it started going off the rails. Grim Reaper made an appearance when I was trying to find a change of clothes. Had a friendly discussion with him and decided he was there for me and not the other people. So then my appearance changed but people still knew it was me. Spent the last bit of the dream at the office and regular coffee shop saying things like, "I was going to do that but I'm dead now so someone else might have to finish it" and "By the way I'm dead so I won't be in tomorrow to get a mocha".

Not reading too much into this - sort of have a feeling it's related to the general burn out I'm going through right now.

Turning CD Spindle case into a Cylon visor 10
Okay. I had all these old spindle cases left from a project. And another client really pissed me off this week (the D is for douchebag). What to do to pass the time? Why make myself a crafty Cylon visor using a spindle case of course. I documented the steps on Flickr in case someone else was looking for something to pass the day with. Discovered it's hard to cut with an X-acto and take pictures at the same time. Probably not the best tool to be flailing around unbalanced.
